Barns and  Churches

 I find faith in the land-add to that the buildings we have there and you have a sense of place. 

The barn creates oneness with nature, humans and animals. All are comforted on the land in which they are placed. As with time passing so it is with barns. We have to enjoy the stoic barn as they are crumbling and aging.

Rural churches are a reminder of what once was: laughter, stirring sermons, weddings, funerals of Sundays past that seem relevant today. These dwellings are not architectually accurate-however, an expression of my feelings and desires more than anything. Through my paintings, I hope that you can journey into the heartland of your own spirit.
