I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin.

Creativity is second nature to me and my siblings. My Mother oftened taught all of us art when we started to be unruly.

I find myself creating in all sorts of media! My earliest recollection of wanting to be an artist was in grade school, standing in front of a painting easel.

Since that time I have received two art degrees: Graphic art and Studio art. I started painting seriously in the late 1980's.

 I painted figures, landscapes and pondscapes; nature at her finest. Since a flood took out my studio in 2018, I started taking photos. I find photography spontaneous, challenging and very different from painting. I hope to someday return to painting, however, I'm enjoying a new creative outlet!

I've been represented by galleries around the city, my art is owned by families around the US and overseas. I' am always part of Artful Women in November and an exhibiter at Artist and Craftsman on Gallery night in the Spring and Fall.

I donate my art and time to various causes to the Madison area.   Deb
